How do I request a repair for one of my devices?

UptimeHealth allows you to easily request a repair through either the Work Orders section or directly from the Devices section.

There are several ways to request a repair on your device in UptimeController. We have outlined them all below.

  1. Method 1: Through the Devices section
  2. Method 2: Through the device record
  3. Method 3: Through the Work Orders section

Method 1: Through the Devices section

  1. Select the Devices section in the left-hand menu.

  2. Identify the device you would like to request service for. You can do this by filtering or searching through the pages.
  3. Select the "Action" button and selecting "Request Repair".

  4. A work order will appear with all the important information already pre-populated. If you have a preferred service technician, their information will also be pre-populated here.
  5. Fill out the Description of Issue, to alert the technician what problems you are facing.
  6. Select "Request Service".

An email with all pertinent information will be sent to the Technicians. The technician can then update the work order and communicate updates to you through the work order.

Method 2: Through the device record

  1. Select the Devices section in the left-hand menu.

  2. Identify the device you would like to request service for. You can do this by filtering or searching through the pages.
  3. Select the Asset ID of the device.
  4. Select the "Create Service Request" button in the top right corner.
  5. A work order will appear with all the important information already pre-populated. If you have a preferred service technician, their information will also be pre-populated here.
  6. Fill out the Description of Issue, to alert the technician what problems you are facing.
  7. Select "Request Service".
An email with all pertinent information will be sent to the Technicians. The technician can then update the work order and communicate updates to you through the work order.

Method 3: Through the Work Orders section

  1. Select the Work Orders section in the left-hand menu.

  2. Identify the device you would like to request service for and input its Asset ID in the "Enter Asset ID" section.
  3. Select the "Request Repair" button.
  4. A work order will appear with all the important information already pre-populated. If you have a preferred service technician, their information will also be pre-populated here.
  5. Fill out the Description of Issue, to alert the technician what problems you are facing.
  6. Select "Request Service".
An email with all pertinent information will be sent to the Technicians. The technician can then update the work order and communicate updates to you through the work order.
